Welcome to my world of amigurumi designs. I have been crocheting and perfecting my skills since 2010. Now I am branching out and creating my own designs from my pixel art that I have made years ago but now in crochet form. Please come in, sit down with your favourite drink, and see what NTGC has to offer.

Please note this is for a digital pattern and not a finished product.
This baby rattle was inspired by my original design of Trenton Turtle.
It is a simple and quick make and I believe a beginner could make this.
The stitch technique uses a yarn under/yarn over single crochet but you do not have to do it that way. I prefer this technique as it tightens up the stitches and you see no holes through your work.
The pattern uses all single crochet stitches and slip st for the eye work. Also a little face shaping which is shown how to do in pattern.I used a 25 gram ball for my main colour with a little yarn to spare. You will need scrap colour for the eyes in black, whatever eye colour you choose and white. You will also need scrap colour for the turtles spots. Cotton thread for the smile.
Yarn Used: Scheepjes Catona
You will also need:
2.25 mm crochet hook, 22 mm rattle insert, 60 mm wooden ring, tapestry needle, polyfil

Crochet Designer
Hello I am April, the face behind Northern Town Girl Crochets. I'm a small town girl who loves to crochet and knit, and now design my own patterns. For the moment I am just an amigurumi artist but one day I hope to develop my skill to include garment makes. But for now I love amigurumi. I used to be a pixel artist now I am using my pixel designs as my inspiration to create crochet dolls. I love how amigurumi brings smiles not only to little children but to adults as well.
