Welcome to my world of amigurumi designs. I have been crocheting and perfecting my skills since 2010. Now I am branching out and creating my own designs from my pixel art that I have made years ago but now in crochet form. Please come in, sit down with your favourite drink, and see what NTGC has to offer.

If you haven’t worked with velvet yarn yet it can be tricky seeing the stitches, that said the pattern is easy to understand but you will need a knowledge of how to do the Bobble st, as the bobble stitch will be done in the round as well as in a flat piece. You will need 3 different sizes of hooks 3.5mm, 5mm, and 6 mm for this pattern.
If you don’t have velvet yarn you could use a bulky weight yarn to achieve the pattern. My testers have used 2 strands of worsted weight instead of bulky and another one used Bernat Pipsqueak yarn with fabulous results.
For my gauge - I had 6 bobbles sts x 6 bobble rows in my 4x4 in square but its really not a major issue for the gauge for this pattern.
I used 1 skein of velvet and you will not use the whole ball but a good portion of it and you can use scrap worsted weight yarn for the face and bow.
Pattern has written and picture explanations and written using US Terminology.
This is for the pattern and not for finished product.

Crochet Designer
Hello I am April, the face behind Northern Town Girl Crochets. I'm a small town girl who loves to crochet and knit, and now design my own patterns. For the moment I am just an amigurumi artist but one day I hope to develop my skill to include garment makes. But for now I love amigurumi. I used to be a pixel artist now I am using my pixel designs as my inspiration to create crochet dolls. I love how amigurumi brings smiles not only to little children but to adults as well.
